Earth Rods

Application and Features

Earth Rods are a type of Earth Electrode. An Earth Electrode is a conducting element buried directly in the ground, facilitating the flow of fault currents toward the ground. This means that Earth Electrodes are metallic and, since they have to be buried for long periods, they must also be resistant to corrosion.

Advantages

  •  Protection – Earth rods protect humans from direct or indirect contact with exposed metal parts with damaged insulation even after the insulation wears off.
